About the Founder

One of the earliest memories I can recall from my childhood is the sound of my mother’s fingers striking the keys on her laptop. As I watched her with an expression of naive worship and wonder, I felt enthralled by the power she wielded, typing on that digital screen.  My childhood memories are annotated with recollections of my mother’s impassioned work ethic. As a software engineer, she instilled in me the qualities of discipline, perseverance, hard work and commitment. My mother marshalled my journey into the intriguing world of computers.

Since then, I have always harboured an innate passion about working with technology. Thus, in order to cultivate this budding interest, I joined the Harvard CS50 Course on the edX platform and a Python course on Udemy. Along with coding experience in languages like Python and C, I am comfortable in navigating computers and their functions.

Growing up in India, I have witnessed young children follow in the footsteps of their impoverished parents on a path of deprivation and illiteracy. Thus. I have always felt inclined to create opportunities that support a conducive learning environment, keeping the objective of digital literacy and sustainability in mind. With the pandemic becoming the catalyst of a digital revolution, I realised that a post-pandemic world demands a socially and environmentally befitting model to mould the youth of today into the ingenious leaders of tomorrow. E-India furnishes the young generation with this ability by teaching them the fundamentals of computer science.

Thus, inspired by the lack of education in my local community and the circumstances unlocked by the unprecedented pandemic, with the dual goal of sustainability and digital literacy in mind, I launched the E-India initiative in June 2022.
